Dog-Friendly Activities in Revere

Now that the peak summer tourist season is over, it’s time to enjoy the outdoors without the humidity and soaring temperatures. For many of us, this includes enjoying spaces with our faithful companion – our pups!

Pets are such an integral part of our lives that many owners opt to bring their dogs (and sometimes cats) out with them as they explore their neighborhoods, go for hikes, and travel to other cities. More and more places are recognizing this trend and making pet-friendly accommodations.

Revere has a few places including beaches, dog parks, and hotels that are pet-friendly and willing to work with owners should they want Fido to tag along on adventures. Let’s explore a few of these places.

Off-Season Revere Beach

During the off-season, October – March, dogs are welcome on Revere Beach. During the busy season, April-September, the beaches are left for humans only.

A reminder that if you choose to walk your dog or allow them to get their zoomies out on the sand, please clean up after them and remember that Revere Beach does not allow fires, alcohol, or littering at any time.

The Dog Park At Suffolk Downs

For pups that need some socialization (and maybe their humans too), the Dog Park at Suffolk Downs is the perfect place to visit.

The park is open from dawn to dusk daily and is located next to The Track entrance where humans can run, walk or play as well. The new fenced-in park is a great place for your dog to socialize and exercise off-leash.

Please be respectful of your fellow dog community and make the park a safe, clean space for both humans and pets. Clean up after your pet and be courteous to other pet owners. For more information about the rules of the dog park, visit their site.

Northern Strand Community Trail

Looking to take your best furry friend for a walk or run? The Northern Strand Community Trail is the perfect place to get outdoors and spend some time with your best dog friend.

This public-use path is a 10-mile rail trail that connects the cities of Everett, Malden, Revere, Saugus and Lynn along the former line of the Boston & Maine railroad. Enjoy hiking, running, biking, and walking activities as you pass by some of Boston’s oldest neighborhoods.

Along the path enjoy community gardens, art installations, scenic views, and enjoy the Great Marsh of Revere, but don’t forget to have your leash and pick up after your pup.

Pet-Friendly Accommodations in Revere

If traveling with your pup is your vibe, you’ll need to find accommodations that allow pets. While some hotels have specific size and breed requirements as well as pet fees, there are several hotels in the Revere area that will work with travelers who want to have their pet stay with them.

The Avid Hotel at Boston’s Logan Airport does charge a pet fee but does allow many breeds and sizes. The Hampton Inn Boston’s Logan Airport also has a pet fee but allows certain breeds and sizes. The Comfort Inn Suites Boston Airport is yet another location to explore should you want to bring your pet on your next trip.
